Thank you to those who submitted abstracts to the 2019 SID Annual Meeting. We are pleased to inform you that the outcome of your abstract submission(s) has/have been posted below for your review (accepted/not accepted). Your Control ID reference has now been converted to a Final ID number and is included in the charts that are now posted.
Your Final ID reference will be used for your abstract published in both the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID) and the 2019 Annual Meeting Program Book.
When reviewing the Outcome document(s), please be advised that Session Order refers to whether your paper was selected for oral or poster presentation. For example, CM1-05 would refer to being selected for oral presentation in Concurrent Minisymposium # 1, 5th talk. PLI-03 would be for Plenary Session # 1, 3rd talk. Poster Session Only will need to be cross referenced against your Final ID number and the Poster Session where the FINAL ID is assigned to. (See below).
Session, Date, and Time refers to the session, date, and time block of those papers chosen for oral presentation.

Other Information:
- This notification does not mean that you are automatically registered for the SID Meeting. You must still register for the meeting and make your housing reservations.
- Those who have applied for a travel award will be notified by the end of February/early March 2019.
Oral Presentations:
If you have been awarded an oral presentation, you must also participate in your assigned Poster Session (see below).
All presentations should be taken to the speaker preview room at least two hours prior to the time of your talk and loaded onto the network via the Hilton Chicago technicians. The Speaker Ready Room is the Buckingham Room, located on the first floor (around the corner from the SID Registration Counter). Do not take your presentation directly to the session room, please take it to the Speaker Ready Room. Presentations should be in PowerPoint format. Please note that information regarding the preferred PowerPoint format can be viewed in the Audio/Visual section below.
Due to CME Guidelines, ALL oral presentations must include a disclosure slide at the beginning of your presentation. If there is a real or perceived conflict of interest pertaining to your work, an announcement must be made prior to your oral presentation and also displayed on your poster
All oral presentations are allotted ten (10) minutes for presentation and two (2) minutes for discussion.
Only one paper or poster may be read or presented by the same author at the Meeting, although a presenter may be a co-author of any number of papers. The material must not have been published prior to submission of the abstract or presented at any national meeting prior to the date of presentation at the SID Annual Meeting. Simultaneous submission of the same abstract to other meetings is prohibited.
Please note the SID Program is extremely busy, so you must be well prepared and keep to time. Session Moderators have been instructed to keep to the timetable and if you speak over your time you may be asked to finish prior to the end of your talk.
Interdisciplinary Spotlight:
- The translational concurrent minisymposia session this year is titled Interdisciplinary Spotlight: Disease Models. This session has been organized around a theme rather than a category to include a full range of bench to bedside approaches. This session will take place on Thursday, May 9, from 1:30 – 4:00 pm. It is listed in the 2019 Abstract Status Notification grid as Concurrent 6.
Audio/Visual:
The Speaker Ready Room will be in the Buckingham Room (near the SID Meeting Registration Counter). There will be resources to display only IBM-compatible presentations in the current versions of PowerPoint or earlier software versions and on Windows 2013 platforms (or earlier). Most slide presentations in the past have been in 4:3 aspect ratios. With the increased use of high definition projectors, a more wide-screen HD format (16:9) is becoming the norm at scientific meetings. The Hi-Def 16:9 format is what we would like for you to either create or re-format your finished PowerPoint slides to in anticipation of your presentation at the SID.
Instructions on how to either create a 16:9 ratio format or convert an existing presentation to it are available on the this website here
Our A/V partner will also have personnel available onsite at the SID Annual Meeting to assist with those who may need help. However, due to the amount of time that may be needed to successfully convert an existing presentation, we ask that you visit the Speaker Ready Room (Buckingham Room)) at least 12 hours in advance of your presentation, so that the staff can adequately provide the needed help.
Presenters with large, embedded video movie files within their PowerPoint presentations are asked to deliver their presentation media to the speaker ready room for review and loading onto the Meeting server in person 24 hours prior to presentation.
Poster Presentations:
Poster presenters should bring a hard copy poster to the meeting. Posters must be no more than 3’8″ vertical x 3’9″ horizontal (112 cm x 114 cm) in size. Posters are to be installed beginning Wednesday, May 8, 2019 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the Stevens Salon B-D located on lower level of the Hilton Chicago. All posters will be displayed for the duration of the Meeting. Posters can be removed after the last poster session on Saturday, May 11th. You are responsible for bringing push pins, Velcro strips… to secure your poster to the assigned Poster Boards. There will not be any made available by the meeting organizers.
